Changes Management and Expands Business Vision and Scope to
Include Latin America and the Caribbean
Alternet Systems Inc. (New Symbol - NASD OTCBB: ALYI
) announces that the merger with TekVoice Communications,
Inc. has completed. TekVoice Communications is a VOIP telecommunications
services company based in Miami Florida, with operations in
North and South America, targeting the Hispanic community,
regional carriers and resellers. TekVoice’s revenue for
the last audited fiscal year exceeded $3 million.
“We will execute on the new vision of the company, by
expanding our current VoIP, Education and Health offerings,
into the transactional arena. We see ourselves as a key regional
partner in the electronic collection management of urban mass
transportation, and the prepayment of all types of utilities.
We will also expand into the advanced hosting and management
of mobile transactional applications, serving second and third
tier mobile carriers, corporations and distribution networks,”
expressed Mr. Henryk Dabrowski, President of Alternet Systems,
Inc.
The new Alternet, as a combined entity, will provide a managed
platform for the prepayment of utilities and urban mass transportation
systems, mobile-based transaction processing services and
state-of-the-art software for education content management
and telemedicine.
The markets served with the combined offering will include
the Americas and the Caribbean, with a particular interest
in Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Guatemala and Panama. Alternet
has several projects underway in different stages, and is
confident it will come to successful closings within the next
3 months.
Alternet is currently offering SchoolWeb and HealthWeb, a
content delivery platform targeting two of the major areas
of interest in the region. “Education and health are
the two major components of the global humanitarian effort
and the social responsibility that our company is committed
to today” said Mr. Dabrowski.
Alternet is a pioneer in the design, deployment and operation
of transactional and content delivery networks, which are
capable of providing the same applications, services and content
to rural and remote areas of a country, as those available
in major urban markets.
Mr. Dabrowski and his team of experienced managers have taken
the task of restructuring the future offerings of the company.
The company is partnering with key technology and services
vendors, both from the Americas and Asia, which complement
the expanded vision. It is also preparing a series of road
trips to present the new vision and offering to prospective
customers, in both government and private sectors.
